Imported Excel file with Japanese Text contains phonetic guide

When I import a glossary containing Japanese text also the phonetic guide is imported. How can I prevent this?

A: this is the situation. When you write in Excel using the Japanese lDE, Excel will automatically insert the phonetic guide. We were not aware of this. This is hidden in Excel, but it is saved together with the visible text. For this reason, InterpretBank extracts all... also the phonetic guide. At the moment,  this can not be avoided. In order to import your glossary into IB, I recommend you to proceed as follows: open your glossary in Excel, save your glossary as "Excel 97-2003 .xls". This will eliminate the phonetic guide. You can now import the glossary in InterpretBank.
