Terms and Conditions


Please read this End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") carefully before using our Cloud, and Desktop application ("Application") and this site.

By using the Application, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

This Agreement is entered into by and between you and InterpretBank, regarding your use of this site and the Application. By using the Application, you are entering into this Agreement and indicating that you agree to follow and be bound by these terms. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT ALL OF THESE TERMS, DO NOT USE THIS SITE AND THIS APPLICATION. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, do not download, install or use the Application.

  1. Definitions

    Application: Refers to the desktop and cloud software provided by InterpretBank.

    Subscription: A time-based license that grants full access to the Application during the subscription period.

    Perpetual License: A one-time purchase that grants indefinite use of the purchased Application version.

    PRO Pack: A package that provides additional features and services for the Perpetual License, such as updates, upgrades, and remote assistance.

  2. License

    InterpretBank grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install and use the Application solely for your personal use strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

  3. License Terms
    1. Subscription License
      • Grants access to all Application features during the subscription period.
      • Includes AI services, Cloud services, Updates, Upgrades, and Remote Assistance for the duration of the subscription.
    2. Perpetual License
      • Permits indefinite use of the Desktop version available at the time of purchase.
      • AI services, Cloud services, Updates, Upgrades, and Remote Assistance require an active PRO Pack subscription.
    3. PRO Pack
      • Provides additional services such as AI services, Cloud services, Updates, Upgrades, and Remote Assistance for a Perpetual License.
      • PRO Pack services expire unless renewed by the user.
  4. Limitation of Service Provision

    Server-based services, such as WebApp and translation suggestions, are accessible only with an active subscription or valid PRO Pack (perpetual license). InterpretBank does not guarantee compatibility with different OS versions than those indicated on the website at the time of purchase. The user may deactivate the license on an old computer and activate it on a new one, but frequent machine switches may result in a license block.

  5. Termination of the Subscription or Services Connected to a PRO Pack

    InterpretBank may terminate or suspend services immediately if terms are breached. The PRO Pack is not automatically extended and must be renewed to continue services.

  6. Refund Policy

    No refunds or exchanges for mistaken purchases or dissatisfaction after activation of a Perpetual License, Subscription, or PRO Pack. Users are encouraged to use the 14-day free trial before purchase.

  7. InterpretBank ASR: Automatic Speech Recognition

    InterpretBank ASR is offered "as is" for experimental use. Audio may be processed by third-party servers, and InterpretBank is not liable for confidential information shared through the service.

  8. Private Cloud and WebApp

    The Private Cloud allows users with a valid Subscription or Perpetual License (with an active PRO Pack) to upload and access glossaries from any device. InterpretBank does not access or use uploaded data.

  9. Support

    Support is available for clients with an active Subscription or Perpetual License with a valid PRO Pack, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 (German Time), excluding German holidays.

  10. Newsletter

    User emails are stored only for sending newsletters. Users can unsubscribe at any time.

  11. Restrictions

    Users agree not to license, sell, rent, or lease the Application or make it available to third parties. Violations may result in immediate termination and legal consequences.

  12. Refund Policy

    Terms of the vendor (Digital River, Köln, Germany) apply. No refunds are issued after license activation or PRO Pack redemption.

  13. Modifications to the Application

    InterpretBank reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or related services without prior notice.

  14. Termination
    • Users may terminate this Agreement by deleting the Application and ceasing all use.
    • InterpretBank may terminate the Agreement without notice if terms are violated.
    • Upon termination, all rights granted to the user are revoked.
  15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    This Agreement is governed by the laws of Germany. Disputes shall be resolved in German courts, with an attempt at mediation before legal action.

  16. Intellectual Property and Feedback

    All intellectual property rights remain with InterpretBank. Feedback or suggestions may be used without compensation.

  18. Warranty Disclaimer

    The Application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

  19. Limitation of Liability

    InterpretBank is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the license.
